Thank you! Everything in me says “Thank you!” Angels listen as I sing my thanks. I kneel in worship facing your holy temple and say it again: “Thank you!” Thank you for your love, thank you for your faithfulness; Most holy is your name, most holy is your Word. The moment I called out, you stepped in; you made my life large with strength.
What if scripture was truly my passion...? And I couldn't get enough of it... and my heart was so filled up by Truth that it was always on my lips - and my automatic reaction to all of life's ups and downs was just quoting and praying and proclaiming the Word!!
"Oh Lord, give me a deeper hunger and desperation for the Bible! I am yearning for more of you, help my mind to stop wandering and hold me close to you! AMEN!"
Mac-ruh-may - Macrame
I guess I've always been pretty creative... I remember at age 6 or 7 doing sweet hairstyles on my Barbie's, coloring inside the lines, and decorating our little play house in the woods with flowers I picked, throw pillows, and curtains over the open windows. Space, color, light, texture... when all pulled together can make a room so inviting!
These days I have several creative outlets... like writing, coloring, journaling, decorating my lil apartment, taking pictures, and lately I've been making lovely macrame pieces for people to purchase and enjoy!
The best part is that most of them I've made while resting in God's presence in prayer and worship! I recently took a 3 week sabbatical from life's distractions and intentionally spent all my time just being with Jesus... so you could say we made these pretty things together - I hope you'll add one to your home and be blessed!
In just a few weeks I've made a 12 piece collection called Macra-Me. Go take a look and message me if you're interested!
A response to giving attention to personal soul care often is, “I don't have time for extensive solitude and silence. I have too much to do.” The truth is you don't have time not to practice solitude and silence. No time is more profitably spent than that used to heighten the quality of an intimate walk with God. If we think otherwise, we have been badly educated. The real question is, “Will we take time to do what is necessary for an abundant life and an abundant ministry, or will we try to 'get by' without it?”

I was recently tagged in a FB post with the hashtag #jillofalltrades So Funny!
It's true though - I've done so many very random things. And it seems like every year I add at least one more odd-ball accomplishment to my resume!
This year will probably be the time I stood at the finish line of the wedding isle... as the officiant for my little sisters wedding... I still feel pretty unqualified but I had the most terrific time and thankfully didn't screw up her wedding! It was quite beautiful on Cannon Beach as the sun was sinking on a perfect Summer day! WOW... can't believe that happened. What an honor to have that role in one of the most important days of a couples life!
So let's see what else I can get into this year. I like to grow and experience things that feel a little risky... I know on the other side of a challenge is blessings and/or lessons, so why not!?
21 day Fast & Seek
Less of this: Netflix, TV, social media, social gatherings, serving, stress and wasted time.
More of this: submission, rest, soaking, exploring, reading, walks, silence, journaling, solitude, discovery, peace, beauty, and joy.

Best thing I've ever done for myself and my relationship with God!
This is gonna be my new summer tradition!
Excerpt from beautiful outlaw, by John Eldridge
This is Jolie's story during a worship time at a women's retreat:
"I tried to think of myself sitting at Jesus' feet and worshiping him."
This is where her story gets really good.
"Suddenly I started to see pictures. I was standing at the foot of the cross."
Whoa. Many of us who love Jesus are brought to tears merely by a reenactment of the crucifixion. A simple cross can stop us in our tracks. Can you imagine seeing the actual event?! Jesus took Jolie there personally.
"He looked down and said, "This is for you."
She was simply trying to begin a practice of loving Jesus. It opened her heart to experience him in a pretty dramatic way. He came to her personally, took her in real time to Golgotha. He spoke to her deepest deception, wounding, and fear. This is for you. I am speechless - have you ever heard anything more beautiful?
But her story goes on. "The picture changed and I was standing outside the tomb. Jesus emerged and held out his hand and said, 'Come with me.' There was invitation and desire in his eyes, I took his hand and we walked together. He touched my face." Doesn't it remind you of the way Jesus was with the women he loved - with Mary of Bethany, the Samaritan divorcee, and the woman with the alabaster jar, whom Jesus defended in front of a crowd of Pharisees? Invitation and desire in his eyes.
"He told me he had a gift for me. He brought out his hand from behind his back and there was my husband holding his hand. The three of us danced together. We came to a mountain. As we started up, there were places I couldn't get past and my husband helped me,, and places he couldn't get past and I helped him. Lastly we came to a place neither of us could pass and Jesus helped us. At the top of the mountain there were lots of people milling about. We looked at Jesus and he simply said, 'Introduce me.'"
What a breathtaking encounter. I want to fall prostrate. I want to run around with my hands over my head, whooping, "He's the same! Jesus is the same - yesterday, today, and forever!" -Pages 152-153
